Do you have expat DNA?

I found this infographic this morning — what do you think?

About Maria

  1. Amazing how many people I’ve enountered over the years who might have been better off staying at home!

Oh how true this is. And I agree with Wanderlust, I have met a few that should have stayed home. You simply can not go through Expat life saying “at home we had this or that” and constantly comparing the two!

  3. Steven says:

I think I’m about 80% in the good-dna column. I’m of a split mind about learning the language, though- I’ve learned enough German to get by in daily life and rudimentary conversations, but I will never be fluent. Since my contract here is finite (with about a year and a half left), there’s a point of diminishing returns for staying in the Deutsch classes- I won’t use the language very much when I’m back in Florida…

  4. Thanks for sharing. I miss patience and sense of humour in the DNA, definitely useful here in China.
